"... there’s good news for farm fans: Kettler’s apples haven’t fallen far from the tree ... Several (songs) stand side-by-side with (farm's) best work." - Seven Days

Seven Days described "Stars Are Cold" as "stark, chilly and somehow — like much of Kettler’s music — very northern," and called "The Lions Were Hungry" "wistful, like a love song of regret. And it works."

The first Dashboard Hibachi release is a five-song EP in a folk/pop/noise vein, released in early 2012. The title, Rorschach Dress Pattern, was borrowed from Richard Brautigan's short story collection, Revenge of the Lawn. Track list: 1. Stars Are Cold; 2. The Lions Were Hungry; 3. Blind As Me; 4. Blanket's Fine; 5. Good Day

Rorschach Dress Pattern is available digitally at the Dashboard Hibachi BandCamp site. The download includes all songs and artwork. Pay whatever you like for the digital version. Contact Jedd directly and for $5 + shipping and handling he'll send a CD version with a homemade Rorschach-style inkblot. Check out a video for Blind As Me here.

Seven Days described "At Least the Crows" as "a ballad-noir" while the following tracks get "experimental, with loops, distortion, obscure instruments and longer instrumental passages," with "Stare at the Drifts" making fitting "mood music in an art-house flick" and "Built to Woodsmoke" bringing "a dreamy, late-winter-day vibe."

Guzen Type, the second five-song EP from Dashboard Hibachi was also released in early 2012. In a similar folk/noise style as Rorschach, Guzen Type also brings in more homemade loops and electric sounds. The word "guzen" translates loosely from Japanese as "coincidence" - something that happens purely by chance. Track list: 1. At Least the Crows; 2. Stare At The Drifts; 3. Built To Woodsmoke; 4. Hope Summer; 5. Upstart

Guzen Type is available digitally at the Dashboard Hibachi BandCamp site. The download includes all songs and artwork. Pay whatever you like for the digital version. Contact Jedd directly and he'll send a CD version ($5 + shipping and handling).
